Starbucks Coffee Seminars - Leads to More

For those of you who are not aware of this already - all Starbucks Stores offer programs aimed at educating customers about the world of coffee. They offer Coffee tastings and coffee seminars. My local store in Denver does some really creative coffee tastings - I actually got to sample some coffees paired up with some edible flowers (to bring out the floral undertones of a particular coffee). It was really neat to see how much coffee tasting is similiar to wine tasting. Also the rapport that I have been able to develop with the barista - especially the Black Apron Coffee Master has been wonderful. So now we not only discuss the newest coffee, what goes well with a party I am planning, we also discuss what collectibles, city mugs, bearistas will be coming out and what day...so it is not just about coffee but also being told when new products will come out. And all I do is ask.
